What are welding electrodes, and why are they used?
A unique technique is used when metals, thermoplastics, and wood need to be joined together. This is known as welding. Here, an oxy-acetylene or propane torch is used to generate a flame of high temperature. It melts the welding electrode, forming a strong seal or joint between the workpieces. A welding electrode comprises a metallic core and is covered with a special chemical coating.
The chemical and metal core melts when the welding arc is applied to form the filler. Once it solidifies, a strong joint is created; hence, the workpieces cannot separate from each other. There are several types of welding electrodes in the UAE available in the market. You need to choose the best product which can quickly melt and form the strongest seal.
